Ideal Self (Visualization)

Hey there! I have a question for you to ponder...

How connected or disconnected do you feel to the ideal version of yourself?

Is this a concept you even think about?

Like many people, I have spent years just "going through the motions" of each day, without giving much thought to the potential for more. I believed that in order to achieve my highest imagined versions of myself, I had to be rich or famous and have an entire team of experts tending to my body, hair, skin, posture, and fashion. In other words, I thought that reaching my highest potential was OUTSIDE of my own abilities.

I also had a bad case of the "when I haves," believing that my happiness and confidence hinged on: a number on the scale, size of my clothing, cash in the bank, social media followers, degrees under my belt, and on and on.

Fill in the blanks: "When I have _________ (lost 10 lbs., a boyfriend, a flatter tummy), then I will __________ (be happy, feel confident, love myself)."

The truth is, if you are following this thought pattern, you are never going to get there. You will never be enough, have enough, do enough. In order to feel the way you desire to feel, a shift needs to occur in your thinking.

Shift your perceptions by imagining this ideal version of yourself, and believe you are already there. No more waiting, no more hinging your happiness on external variables. The following exercise can help you narrow down and move toward who you want to be RIGHT NOW.
