I know it's crazy, but I had never been much of a chocolate fan until raw cacao entered into my life. When I read about all of the amazing benefits of unprocessed chocolate - magnesium, heart healthy vitamins and minerals, fiber, and super antioxidant powers - I started to play with it in the kitchen and became hooked.

In its raw state, chocolate has more than 300 nutritional compounds that are associated with improved circulation, cardiovascular health, mental health, digestion, and anti-aging!

It's also no wonder that we associate Valentine's Day with chocolate, since the "bliss chemicals" in cacao are associated with happiness and well-being, and chocolate has long been a symbol of sensuality and sexuality.

Enjoy these sweet and spicy chocolate bars solo or with your honey, and feel that chocolate bliss!

Hot Valentine Raw Chocolate Bars

⅔ cup coconut oil, melted
⅓ cup coconut butter, softened
1 cup raw cacao powder
2 TBSP raw local honey (for vegan option can use stevia, coconut sugar, or other alternative)
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp cinnamon
2-3 TBSP water

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl, adding the water last to get a smooth texture. Transfer to a tray and place in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before cutting into bars. I sprinkled mine with hemp seeds, white mulberries, and tiny rose buds before freezing.
